Children’s Story Time at FoxTale Book Shoppe

In the Children’s Room at the FoxTale Book Shoppe. We read books appropriate for the child’s age, and there is no age limit (really). There is a dance/sing period following the reading, followed by tattoos and stickers before the children leave. We love the kids and they have a lot of fun– We know WE do!

Scarecrows in the Garden at Atlanta Botanical Garden

Scarecrows in the Garden, Atlanta’s favorite fall tradition, returns for another season of spooky, kooky fun. Every October the Garden is stuffed with more than 100 scarecrows handcrafted by businesses, individuals, schools and organizations.

Ultimate Playdate at East Cobb Park

The popular seasonal event known as the Ultimate Playdate encourages families to take an outdoor break for some fresh air and family-friendly music. Jay Memory, founding member of the national act Memory Dean, performs old favorites and leads children in sing-alongs.

Decorate a Pumpkin at Alpharetta Community Center

WHEN: Wednesday, October 26th 10:00am

Children of all ages are invited to Decorate a Pumpkin with paint, glitter, markers and much more!  The Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department will host this event on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, from 10am to 2pm.  Pre-registration is required.  Bring your own pumpkin and we will supply the rest.  All pre-registered participants will receive a Halloween surprise.

BOOOO! Make a Spooky Trick-or-Treat Bag at Alpharetta Arts Center at Crabapple Government Center

“BOOOO!  Make a Spooky Trick-or-Treat Bag, ” an art workshop sponsored by Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department, will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011, at the Alpharetta Arts Center at Crabapple Government Center.  Children age 3 to 6 years, accompanied by an adult, will decorate their own ghoulish trick-or-treat bags for all of their Halloween goodies.  Treats will be given to all registered participants.  The program cost is $10 per City resident and $15 per Non-City resident.

Halloween Hayrides at Red Top Mountain State Park

Pumpkins In The Park at Piedmont Park

Halloween Festival at George T. Bagby State Park and Lodge

Join us as we celebrate Halloween with Hayrides, our Famous Haunted House, Carnival Games, Cake Walk, Face Painting and Ghost Stories around a campfire while sipping warm cider.
