Atlanta Youth Martial Arts Classes

An Explanation of Marital Arts and Benefits of Martial Arts

Does your child run through the house kicking the walls or bouncing a leg off the banister as she's coming down the stairs? Does your son or daughter feel anxious around other kids because of low self-esteem? Perhaps it's time to put him/her in a Martial Arts class. One benefit of Martial Arts is that it empowers children, regardless of gender, size or physical condition. Marial Arts training helps children excel mentally and physically. Many Atlanta Martial Arts facilities offer after school programs, as well as Martial Arts classes for children as young as three years old through teen years and into adulthood.

Progression in Martial Arts is most typically marked by the belt system. A beginner will usually start with a a white belt and will move upward through a variety of colors until receiving a black belt. Testing for each new level generally happens every three months and is a great exercise in setting and achieving goals.

The Atlanta Martial Arts studios featured in this guide teach several Martial Arts classes including Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, Kung Fu, and Tai Chi.

PRO Martial Arts is about much more than kicking, punching and karate workouts. We’re passionate preparing the children in our community to grow into the next stage of their life by developing essential character development skills. Our Little Rhinos classes are catered to children as young as 3 years of age, designed specially to teach pre- school-aged kids the basic curriculum and protocol to begin their journey in martial arts. PMA also offers a unique enrichment program that teaches children how to stay safe in an increasingly dangerous world.

Comprised of 12 weekly lessons on Bullying Prevention and 12 separate lessons on Predator Prevention, the ARMOR program was designed by child psychologists, educators and law enforcement officials. Our students are taught how to stand tall against bullying and predator activity – both online and in their everyday lives.
