Salute to America at The Depot

The City of Kennesaw will host its annual pre-Independence Day celebration of freedom, music and fireworks on Friday, July 3 from 6 -10 pm in downtown Kennesaw. Admission is free. This year’s event will feature two stages of live music, festive street entertainment, food vendors, and kid’s activities. The evening will be capped off with a brilliant fireworks finale at 9:30 pm.

As the sun sets we will enjoy a panoramic view of Stone Mountain and Atlanta's Independence Day Celebrations from a distance. After the parade STARS, STRIPES & CARTERSVILLE takes place at Dellinger Park from 10 AM-10 PM presented by Cartersville Optimist Club, City of Cartersville, and Superior Plumbing. Admission is $5.00 per vehicle.

Join Decatur's July 4th Pied Piper Parade as it winds through downtown Decatur. Decorate your wagon, ride your bike, skate, or walk in this event. The City Commissioners will lead the parade in the mini-firetruck. Neighborhoods and organizations are encouraged to make floats and join the fun. Parade line-up is at the First Baptist Church of Decatur at 5:30 p.m. The parade begins at 6 p.m. It ends at the Community Bandstand on the square with a presentation of colors and the Star Spangled Banner.

Downtown Powder Springs is the place to be on July 4th. The fun begins at 6 p.m. with live entertainment provided by the popular gospel quartet Zion, followed by one of Atlanta’s favorite local bands, The Men in Blues. Mayor Vaughn will lead the patriotic program at 9:15 p.m. followed by the talented Noelle Miller singing the national anthem. The festivities will end with a spectacular fireworks show. This event is free and open to the public. Games, inflatables, vendors, and food will also be available throughout the celebration.

Parade: Our HUGE parade kicks off the celebration at 10:00 am. The parade starts and ends at Woodstock Elementary School on Rope Mill Rd. It travels up Main St. to Towne Lake Pkwy, Mill St., Market St., Fowler St., Main St. and back to the school. Festival: After the parade, join us in The Park at City Center (101 Arnold Mill Rd.) until 3:00 pm for food, live music in the gazebo, children’s games, cake walk, arts and crafts, Adam the Juggler, and vendors of all types. Legendary Fourth of July at Lenox Square

Lenox Square shops and restaurants are open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.* Musical entertainment begins at 6 p.m. with Gump Fiction, then at 7:30 p.m. Party on the Moon, Atlanta’s favorite party band, takes the stage. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at approximately 9:40 p.m.
